Festival Animali in Italy hails Iranian filmmakers

The Italian Film Festival Animali has awarded Iranian filmmakers with three main prizes of its 2nd edition.

Iranian animations which stood atop at the competition list of the Festival Animali include ‘Paradise’ by Majid Reza Eivazi, ‘Echo" by Barzan Rostami and ‘Far Away’ codirected by Farnaz Moazen and Behrouz and Shirin Soleimani Nazir.

Some five hundred works from about 300 filmmakers and 50 countries went on screen at the 2021 edition of the Italian festival.

All the films screening at the festival were about the protection of animals.

In protecting animals, Italy National Association organizes Festival Animali which is an online short film festival.

The short movies are about animal rights and their relationship with human.

The 2nd edition of the event has been held virtually on December 14, 2021.
